Job Title: Front Office Associate

Job Summary:

The Front Office Associate is responsible for providing excellent customer service to guests and visitors of a hotel, resort, or other hospitality establishment. The individual in this role will be responsible for greeting and checking in guests, handling phone calls and emails, assisting with reservations, and addressing guest inquiries and concerns.

Key Responsibilities:

» Greet and check in guests, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the check-in process

» Handle phone calls and emails, providing accurate and timely information to guests and visitors

» Assist with managing the reservation system, ensuring accuracy and timely processing of reservations

» Address guest inquiries and concerns, providing excellent customer service and escalating issues to management as needed

» Maintain a clean and organized front desk area, including the lobby and waiting areas

» Coordinate and communicate with other hotel departments, such as housekeeping and maintenance, to ensure timely and efficient guest service

» Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of guest information and transactions

» Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently

» Assist with other tasks and projects as assigned by management

Requirements:

» High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or related field preferred

» Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service or related field

» Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and colleagues

» Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously

» Ability to work independently and as part of a team

» Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and hotel management software

Preferred Qualifications:

» Certification in hospitality management, such as the Certified Hospitality Professional (CHP) designation

» Experience working in a hotel or resort setting

Physical Demands:

» Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time

» Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
